I'm a terrible care taker

Poor thing. Plucked out of the warm California desert and this is the life it gets here.

You need to get that poor thing inside, I can hear her crying from here.

Don't wait too long

If it were inside, the shop fairys have a better chance to work on it at night while your sleeping.

Wow, You must have a lot of toys, that looks like a big garage behind the car, but no room for it!

Funny how things pile up, but at least you are working on a plan to get her inside.

Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery.

No it's not, it just amplifies the problem and provides a crutch for it to get worse. He's doomed...

Naw, the plan is to get more patina and flip it to gas monkey or fired up for them to rod and flip for mo money...

I doubt a bit more rust will make any difference to the overall plan for this car. More important is, will you still be a poor caretaker once it's done?

I would @ least get a tarp/cover on it. They go down hill fast in the elements.

I have everything under control. I don't need any help. Just because there are 4 inside, 2 behind the shop, one on the trailer in the street, 2 in the field across the street and 4 in my driveway that's all perfectly normal. Oh there are 4 cars not mentioned are just for transportation and towing.

Sorry Richard, but I lived in Texas for a while, and when it does snow down there it usually doesn't last too long.... I had my 66 442 down there when it snowed once and it was all gone by midafternoon.... I know the weather patterns have changed a lot over the years, but you could always be stuck with the snow of the North East where I am now....

Nooooo, the reason we like Texas is that the winters here are about 1- 2 months long. Just not a continuous amount of time. A day here, a week there, with periods of 50-70 degree weather in between. Fall and spring both last a week, with 9 1/2 weeks of summer.

Ok, so what was your point in the first place, if not to invite these comments?

Believe me, Richard has it all under control. I have been there and seen them. He does have more than I could handle but I have a few decades on him.

Yeah I saw it on the end post, not the first one. That was my point, as in " I don't understand why you would advertise you're a terrible care taker ". It's like pointing out that you don't take care of things if you get my perspective. Bottom line is they're your cars to do with as you please.

He obviously feels bad that the car is out side. Keep on task Richard, you will get it inside before long.
In the end it really isn't going to matter much at all though, as it will all shine like new when you are done working your magic on it.

Now why didn't I buy Olds when I lived in TX? I would have alot more hotrod friends and extra hands! I cant wait to get my cars over here to the east coast in a few months. I have plenty of room over here for more cars but I'm trying to be good and actually focus on the 2 I have once they arrive. A big helper in behaving is the CL has almost nothing for Olds ever unlike when I was in CA. But guns are a whole lot more plentiful over here and I kinda like those too! :-) Nice little stash you have. Have any pics of the 442's and chevelles?

Been more in accumulation mode the last year. My spare time did a lot of home repairs and I built my kids a big playground in the back yard. Back to car mode this year.
