If you don’t like the weather, wait a few minutes it will probably change.

That’s an old joke here in the Midwest. I’m not going to worry too much until Thursday gets a little closer. Just wondering if there was a backup plan.

It’s typical Ohio. I went to the Oldsmobile race in Norwalk all but 3 years they had the event. I can count on one hand the number of years it either didn’t rain, or was brutal hot. Which is way I said Mother Nature is vicious.

The only time I find in Indiana that is consistently awesome is the first couple weekends in October. Even then, it can rain.

Agreed. The cool comfortable fall air is the reward for dealing with the “ball soup and boob stew” of the summer heat/humidity.

I just got back from a Wyoming vacation last week. It was 101 degrees in Deadwood, South Dakota. The 20% humidity was comparable to 75 degrees here in central indiana.

x2, I just returned to NE Ohio from Great Falls, Montana. Low 100's in Montana are 80's here.

Glad I’m not the only one that feels that way.

To bring this thread back on track, the CO group who did meet up Tuesday afternoon had a great time. It was great to see old friends and put names to faces for those I met for the first time. Looking forward to a larger group on Friday.

I glad everyone had a great time. I should be rolling in just afternoon tomorrow. We will see whomever shows on Friday around 3ish depending on judging.
FYI it was good that I did not schedule early. A death in the family for someone at work I attended services today and one my staff had covid in his family on Monday. I worked my first two days of my vacation!

I will be glad to see you again, Pat. Went to the aviation museum with Gary and Cathy (VC455). That place was amazing! Today taking a bus to a car museum. Yep the Tuesday mtg was fun. I may be going to Kil Kare dragstrip on Friday as I have tickets for the museum and also the meet & greet today ( Thurs.) so I may miss the Friday mtg.
Having a great time I am in the driver class which is as far as you can get from the hotel. As I said we may be gone for the judging, I don't care about it anyway- I won the driver class last year, still don't know why...

The Air Force Museum is a great place to visit! And, it’s FREE admission!
If you’re going to the Packard Museum today, you’ll love it! It’s a real gem and I believe back in the day was an actual Packard dealership!
Just down the road there is Carrillon Park which is very interesting with a lot of Dayton historical items there! They have an actual Wright built Flyer there in a climate controlled building! You can see the Carrillon from the hotel/event area!
I’ll try to drop in to check out the cars tomorrow!
Enjoy!

Looking forward to meeting & seeing you all tomorrow.

Was at the show today. Nice people, nice size. Great to compare notes with others who own cars like mine.

The swap meet was a nice counterpoint to all the west coast shows I’ve been too that have about zero Olds presence and parts.

Cheers
Chris

You have to come out for Homecoming in Lansing 500-550 cars and the vendor swap area is 50% larger. The only bad point it's a one and done show.
