Dash Shell

Hello Everyone,
Does anyone know where I can get a dash shell that fits a 72 Olds Cutlass (Base model)? I have tried one (DashTop by Palco Industries). The fit was not correct. Please advise.

What exactly are you calling a "dash shell"? The dash pad? The plastic lower dash? The metal that is welded to the cowl?

I believe he is referencing like what I used: a dash cap. This is for the '68-'69 Cutlass/442s.

Hello everyone,
Yes, its the shell that fits over your cracked dash. It's hard with the correct texture/grain of the original dash.

These vacu-formed covers are all crap. They are OK for a driver, not what you want for a car that you care about.

Joe,
I would not call them 'crap'. They actually work/look good. I used one...and yes, its on a car that I care about. That said, would you use them on a 'correct/original' car, no.

Especially considering that your alternative is to completely remove the dash for repair, or to be rebuilt. Just Dashes is the only provider I know of that does this for a concours restoration.

I've actually considered getting a velour/suede cover for the dash on my 71 98.
