Dash Pad Cover - Any Good?

Any experience with one of these covers? My dash has a couple cracks on the top, and I'd like to convert to a non AC dash anyway.

Is this is a simple install with some double sided tape, or..?

I've used a cover on my 79 Trans Am and it was not worth the time and effort to try and get it to stick and stay. It looked good for about a week or 2 then started coming up. I ended up just pulling it off and throwing it away. Just get use to the crack until you can replace with a crack free dash of remove it to get redone.

These are hard plastic covers and look like hard plastic covers when installed. I'd use one on a driver, but not on a car that I cared about. Unfortunately, your only choices are one of these, a good used dash, or a recovered dash. Don't expect much change back from a $1000 bill if you go the recover route.

Now I know why the good used ones are worth so much $1000 ouch.

You're in for a lot of work switching it out, but here's an option.
