Cord parts cars - spendier than Olds!

Note the Toronado-ish front wheels as befits a FWD car:

One of my favorite classics, love the styling and suicide doors, hidden headlights, but way out of my budget.

I restored 2 of those back in the 80's. They were ahead of their time with the front wheel drive and hide away headlights.

My best friend 's family owned a restoration shop, and one of the cars they did was a Cord 810...it was a 10 yr project as parts and information on these cars were very difficult to obtain in the mid 70's...I have pics of it somewhere...fast forward to 1994 and it was destroyed in a tornado here in the Midwest...often wondered what happened to the remains...wonderful cars, especially for the time, and a definite design platform for our beloved Toronado's...thanks for sharing the link...

I consider them beauties. Most literature I have read says their mechanicals had a lot of trouble however, but ahead of their time.
