I want to install cooling fans on my 72 cutlass engining running about 200 degrees. i was told to put in a dual elec fan with 2800 cfm.should I leave the stock fan blade in and mount the new one in front of the radiator or remove it imput would be good. which is a good brand on the market

Remove the old fan and just mount the electric ones so it will "pull" the air through the radiator. I wouldn't really look at aftermarket fans, you can just go to the junkyard and get a set cheap. I was told the dual set up for the late 90s Ford Taurus are the best but I dont know for sure. I got a set from a mid 90s Dodge and they move ALOT of air.

If your car is just going to be a driver and not see the strip I would just keep the old fan on there. The only real plus for electric fans are you can have them on when the car is off helping it cool of faster. Other then that the old fans work just as good.

I would change the thermostat to 160 degrees first. You might want to up grade your radiator to a larger one. Check the fan clutch make sure it's working. If all these things are working your car should not be running at 200 degrees, but how you run electric are up to you. My choice would be one electric in front of the radiator on with an on and off switch inside of the car. Leaving the stock fan in place. If you run two electric fans they will have to run on a temp. switch.

I agree with Wasted, go to the junkyard and find an electric fan from a van or truck. Oldsguy installed a dual electric fan in his 69 Delta 88. I think they came off of a 1982 Dodge van. It worked like a champ.

Just a thought here.
What if the coolant passages are partially clogged from years (Like my arteries)? Would a coolant flush help?

I don't think a coolant flush would do much. That would assume that the radiator was clogged and not woking correctly. From my understanding this is just a case of "might-as-well" install an electric fan. If the car overheats then perhaps a flush would be in order.
