Convertible question

Do Oldsmobile A Body convertibles from 1968 - 1972 have the color code of the convertible top on the trim tag ?

Yes, it is the letter following the paint code on the trim tag

Actually it's a number after the letter paint code for '68. The convertible top colors for '68 were white (1), black (2), blue (4) and gold (8).

For '69-'72 it was a letter. For '69 and '70 it was white (A), black (B), blue (C) and gold (H).

For '71 it was white (A), black (B), sandalwood (E) and green (G).

For '72 it was white (A), black (B), green (G) and covert beige (T).

Beautiful car - I would change the top. Does this look like the correct burgundy paint ?

The only available convertible top colors for 1969 were white, black, blue, and gold. "P" designated a gold convertible top. Not surprising for an Aztec Gold car. Again, this info is in the PIM, Section 0, page 183.

my 69 Cutlass S vert has 57 P PNT
