Drove my Dad's '53 super 88 with the hydromatic trans home from his funeral. When I put it in reverse to back in the garage the selector on the column moved correctly but the linkage on the column under the hood is frozen. I disconnected the linkage to the trans and trans shifts fine. The linkage out of the column is stuck tight. The gearshift moves it's proper range. The car is 3 hrs. from me. I'd like to have a plan before I go back to my parent's house again to work on it.
