Chrstmas Ride

Our grandson caught us on video as we went out "light-seeing" on Christmas Eve. Check it out. It was lots of fun despite the cold. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6YAn...&feature=email

Don't let the lack of snow fool you. We had to wait for two weeks till the snow melted enough to get the car out of the garage. We live 25 miles and 3000 feet higher in elevation than Chico where the film was taken. We almost didn't make it this year, in fact its snowing again as I type this.

Our Christmas light viewing has become quite a family tradition with the grandkids enjoying it as much as us oldies. The Kids car is a BMW 318 I with all the comforts of heated seats and such, but we get all the thumbs up.Something about old people in old cars that make people smile....Tedd.

I am glad others do Christmas light rides in their old cars.
It started as a tradition for me 3 years ago. I am the only one in a car this old and the the only 'vert with the top down!
My sig picture came from a ride 2 years ago.

We have hot drinks in a heated mug, the heater blows air hot enough to cook one's toes, and the seats have heaters in them too... The lady likes the latter one.
I will be playing classic and contemporary Christms tunes also.

I often steal the show, with kids, adults, and even 'Santa' waving, yelling complements, and pointing at us...
It is a good feeling for sure.
This year my lady friend did some video of the ride, maybe I can have it made into something that i can post up next year.
