Center Hood bumper

I can't find the clip/ bracket for the center cowl hood support.
Does anyone have a picture of one?
Or even the part I can just buy.
I'm sure I probably have it buy haven't seen it in a long time. Seeing what it looks like might help me find it faster.
Or if you have an extra I'll just buy it and not have to look anymore.

Picture is of the bumper but need the clip that holds this.

This is the bumper.

I thought that was attached with the screw thru the center
Why would you need a "bracket"??

My 1971 with OAI also has 3 hood adjusters across the top of the radiator support
center one goes into the hood latch

Are you looking for what the Assembly Manual calls the "Nut?"

This is not reproduced, i myself have been looking for a proper replacement for years to no avail. Used is the only option, Curious to see if anybody comes up with a creative alternative.

YES! That's exactly what I'm looking for.
Does anyone have one?

funny cause thats pretty much how I remembered it looking like. So I am looking for the right part.
Yeah I know it isn't reproduced I've asked several places none of them make it.
Guess I just need to keep looking and not take the easy route of just getting another one.

Did you have any luck finding the clip?

Haven't made it back to the place yet this week but I'll get there. Scott Winn (Oldspackrat) in Indy might have some of these....have you tried contacting him?

I'm in no hurry.
I'm pretty sure I asked Scott before.
I really need to dig deeper in my stuff I guess.
I'm sure it's there somewhere.....

It's been pouring down rain here the past couple days so I'll get by the place when the rain stops. There are plenty of cars that have these and the only question is the condition of the clip. They are very thin metal and rust away somewhat easily but there's a car that came in about a month or two ago with some exceptionally clean parts on it so maybe it has a nice one. I had the rubber hood bumper in my hand the last time I was there since I bought the cowl screen off the car. I'll get there and soon as the guy is holding some other parts that I'm going to buy.

Found these - One is real nice and the other has part of one of the tabs missing - would still likely function but the design appears to possibly be where the screw contacts both of these tabs which MAY act to keep the screw in there tighter. The "flat" upper part of this clip is the threaded "nut" part of these.

PM if you are still looking.

Thanks to 70Post I got my clip I needed Today.

Now I'll probably find my original this week ... well that's how it always seems. Give up buy a new one and you stumble upon where you left the old one.....
Thanks,
