Hello, I'm new to the Oldsmobile Cutlass as of last June. I have a hard time to determine colours in general, let alone adding dirt to it. Thinking it's some kind of Gold ? I have a 71 Cutlass Supreme Hard top, I'm hoping that someone can give me a direction on what I should order for a carpet. Thanks, it would be very much appreciated.
Trim code 989 is a Sienna bench seat interior. When you order the carpet, give them that trim code and that will indicate the correct carpet color. Sienna is a tan/brown, not gold.
By the way, interesting that you have a factory two-tone car. Bittersweet (62) lower body color and Sienna (67) upper body color. Two tone Supreme hardtops are not common. Most had the vinyl top instead.

^^x2^^ I replaced mine ('71 CS convertible Sienna Bench Seat Color) w/ carpet from Legendary Auto Interiors. It was drop-shipped via ACC.
Not 100% but I believe 1971 was the only year for the Sienna?
Thank you for the reply, I did send ACC an email with this code, this was a reply I had from them
We use aftermarket material for our carpet sets, so the color codes and names are different than factory’s information. Also, the colors we have listed for that year model vehicle do not look like the colour you have in your vehicle
This is why I posted here, I'll add another couple of pics. Under the rear seat shows a better look where it hasn't been stomped on.
OK Well, not 100% about that carpet color under the rear seat; but, relative to your exterior color I'll provide you the best images of my '71 CS convertible I can dig up. I was hesitant to state what Trim Code to use because I honestly wasn't sure what the proper trim code was for my interior (carpet) - it was certainly going to be far better than the carpeting that was in the car when I bought it and I didn't provide Legendary with any Trim Code numbers. With these images, you should be able to gain a perspective on color. I was refinishing the steering wheel when I captured these images. I'll get you the exact trim code ACC used when they drop shippe my carpet.
Thanks Norm, the colour is definitely different than mine. I can't tell you what colour that is but I can tell it's a different shade. I had the hope that the colour of the carpet was somehow included in the trim tag, TR 989 first number "9" being vinyl, second "8" sienna third "9" sadle next is B80 roof chrome, that colour might be a good alternative to mine I especially see it better when viewing the one near the door sill
Thank
Marc - Understand. Expecting manufacturers to maintain the exact color/trim match and any resemblance of the exact type "fabric" employed when these cars were assembled would be like finding a 50 year old virgin.
Add to the fact I believe the Sienna was produced one year only - 1971.
If you wait to the end of this video, it might provide you another perspective on color blend. Good Luck.
That made me laugh on the 50 year old virgin, I get what you're saying, I thought they could provide reproduction carpets close to the colours. My main intent was to find out what colour my carpet was because I can't name colours, I do see them but can't tell you what they are with the exception of red vs blue and yellow. Fair enough, on that note I do like the colour of your carpet in the 71 it goes well with Sienna. I'm pleased with the efforts you provided and I thank you for it.
That’s a rare color combination, especially the painted Sienna roof. It looks nice! I think for 71 they offered Bittersweet, Sienna and Saturn Gold as one year colors.
Yes I am keeping it the way it came, with the exception of installing buckets and console. Same colours on the exterior, 62 and 67 I did all the metal repairs like rear quarters and inner tubs, bottom of the front fenders. The car only had 1 paint since new, 350 with AC. The plan is to install my 425 with A heads, TH400 trans, 323 posi but for this up coming year I'll be happy with it painted and drive it the way it sits and make it a project over our 5 months of Winter's.
PS, what colour would you say the carpet is ?
Hi Bob, yes I'm sure they would but I was stuck on getting the colour more to what I thought was best, I did not buy from Legendary on the carpet and bottom of the doors. Give them a call, I'm sure someone will answer your needs
Just curious why anyone would order from a reseller like ACC instead of directly from Legendary? The prices appear to always be less direct from Legendary.
Are the shipping costs making it a difficult decision? I haven't ordered from legendary yet, but I've been tracking prices for various parts for a bit on my 69 Cutlass.
On another thread a guy ordered carpet from Rock Auto. Don't know how that turned out yet...
I ordered carpet for my truck from Rockauto and it came from ACC and was cheaper than ordering directly from ACC. Didn't make much sense but a penny saved is a penny earned!

I didn't think Legendary was the manufacturer -- Thought they were just another reseller. Doesn't really matter as the reason I'm looking is because of the unique Sienna carpet color, as far as I can tell, is not offered anywhere. ASA, Legendary, and others all support different colors and I'm simply trying to match as best I can.
Norm, I have the exact interior as you with the bench seat and all. What was your solution for the faded carpet on the door cards and the bottom-back portion of the front seat?
Hello all, I never did post the outcome of the original question on carpet colours, well here is what I came up with with The Parts Place who supplied this colour and I am good with it. the car isn't quite done but I will be driving it around this Spring, the engine that is designated for it will be next year.
Cheers, Marc laying out the carpet fitting the lower carpet
