Remember the year it snowed?!?!?!?
The aisles were mud, and we were walking around on planks!
This weather looks great!
Sorry about your mechanical failures Joe.
I’m leaving at noon.

Just got back, left at 4AM. Yeah the snow squall was a bit crazy. Vendors started to cover stuff so we headed to the truck for an early lunch. The sun came out and it was back to the hunt. We dressed warm and overall a nice but chilly day and a great turnout. So I never dreamed I would come across a bit rusty but nos left drivers quarter for a 66-67 wagon. Of course I bought it even though my wagon resto is done. Picked up some stuff from Fusick and there were a few Olds finds as well.

The traffic was so bad this morning I could not even get in. I spent an hour in the car and I moved about a half a mile. Oh well, went to Gettysburg battlefield today instead. Will try again tomorrow morning.

Carlisle was PACKED !!!!
Carlisle today:
Drop dead gorgeous weather --- And Carlisle was PACKED with people....
Aisles were full, All day, Morning, Noon, and Afternoon...
We surmised that Carlisle hasn't had this grand an attendance in 10 years !!!!!
Every vendor I have spoken to these last couple days has a double thumbs up for sales...
Don't know about the 1580 cheapie tools dealers though -- Could they have all done exceptionally well all selling the same things ??? (I really don't care, though !!!)
Tomorrow should be glorious again.... If you have a desire to get out of the house for the first time in 13 months, come on up or down to Carlisle, enjoy the great outdoors, regain your sanity by regaining your life !!!
And, have no fear... When they halt all activities at 9;00 A.M. to play our national anthem,
Everyone is standing at attention, --- NO Kneeling here ---..... See ya' in the A.M......

What a great day! Great weather, and amazing attendance. Haven\t seen this much traffic, or this many people in YEARS! Tri City Plating WAS there, but I thought I heard they would only be there on Thurs. and Fri. I dropped off my 56 Olds front bumper to them. Saw your wagon there, Joe, didn't know it was yours, but we were all admiring it. Lucked out and found an Edelbrock Performer intake for my 455, so now I don't have to wait until mid summer, IF production starts up again/
And to top it all off, we got to go to Monk's Cafe in Philly, on the way home, for beer and mussels. Glad they re-opened, by it's amazing seeing the difference in mask wearing from Carlisle, to the 'big city'.
Oh, and if anyone's interested, I did see a guy in the first row (row P) selling an NOS 56 Olds top bumper section. $475.

Beside the wagon quarter panel I picked up a 72 bumper/core support filler plate needed for my brother's 72 and a stick bell housing filler plate. 67 stuff was scarce as always didn't see anything else I needed and decided I could wait to drop close to 200 bucks for a set of repro floor mats from Fusick. The last few swaps I did not see Restoration Specialties. I would have picked up some molding clips and windlace...

Just leaving Carlisle.... Paid for next year's spaces on the way out (to save the 5 % -- why not -- they are due in 90 days at full price...)
I got finished packing up at 6:21 last night, and the rains started at 6:42 P.M. --- I made it by
21 minutes !!!
It rained all through the night --- heavy at times --- you until 7:00 A.M....
I saw two guys walking up my aisle , one dragging a cart... Unless they are dumpster diving, they have to walk 60 - 80 spots to see a vendor still there...

Had a pretty good day Friday. I met Joe P and his cool wagon, found some things to re-sell at at an antique shop where my wife, my son and myself rent a couple of spots. I got some things for my 64 F85 from Fusick, great customer service. Except for having trouble finding parking because of crowds I haven’t seen in twenty years, it was a great time!

Joes wagon showed up on a Central PA car club Facebook page:

All-in-all, had a great time. One of the highlights of the trip was my new Coleman propane-powered drip coffee maker. After nearly 25 years, I've finally gotten a good cup of coffee at Carlisle.
Thanks to all who stopped by to say hi, and sorry if I was gone when others tried to come by. Bought a few Olds parts, but mainly tools, supplies, and parts for the 84 GMC crewcab that I'm currently building. And to bookend the week, our trip home ended the way it started. The camper got exactly a mile from the fairgrounds and died on Hanover St. in the middle of Carlisle. My friend had it towed to a local shop and will deal with it Monday; I drove him home. Fortunately it's only about 90 minutes to get there. While the tow truck was hooking up, we chatted with a Carlisle police officer. She said that the traffic backups on Friday were mainly due to PennDOT construction on the freeway.

Not sure if I’d say “rare” but scored:
-NOS f-85 script CHEAP
-radio delete plate
-NOS hood molding(but does have blemish)
-arm rest bases
-drive quality seat belts
All for the 65’s
