Carb. Restoration
I just got my carburetor back yesterday from Chris's Carb Shop in Dayton OH. If any of you are looking for a place that can completely restore your carb. back to its original condition this is where you go. After he goes thru your carb. he will set it up any way you wish and also call you when he has it finished and let you here it run. I also sent my HEI distributor to have it gone thru and they completely replaced everything inside the original body and test runs it also and lets you know the settings. I had both done for $500.00 + the shipping.
Here are some before and after pictures.

Thanks I was tossed as to have it restored, the car came with an Edelbrock, and I found this one in a wrecking yard a true 1972 Olds Q-Jet. Had the money to get it restored and went for it. Just the carb restoration is $350.00 + the Shipping. I now have $425.00 in it. More than what I wanted to spend but it is right for the car now and is brand new. Nothing like the sound of a Q-Jet when you get on it.

Only thing that I noticed, was that the top of the carburetor was a gold tint in the before pictures, and it was raw metal finish in the after pictures. Which is factory correct, gold tint to the top, or bare metal?
