Can Anyone Take a Picture of their Olds Wagon Tailgate?

Either Cutlass or Vista Cruiser dual action gate should be the same. My 1972 VC had some mild rear end damage and I'm trying to figure out exactly what the sheet metal strip under the tail gate should look like before I straighten mine any further. The picture below is what I need to see, maybe a little more close up.

Thanks, Tom

Tom, there's a great thread in the major builds & projects section on a '70 vista. The title is 70 Vista Refresh by VC455. It's has the rear pics that you need. It's an awesome build!!!!! You'll have to scroll back a couple of pages to find it but it's worth a look!!!

Oh cool. That's Gary's car. I should have checked there first. Thanks guys. I put my first paint on the car yesterday. This is the fun part of the job. At least, it is when the paint goes on right :-)

Here's another view of the area.

Thanks Gary

I can't quite figure out why I can't get my sheet metal to stay down even though there is nothing below it to keep it from being pushed down. My guess is that it's already too stretched and has to buckle towards the top and I'm not sure I want to take that tailgate off, especially now that I've painted it.

Today, I painted the front side of my doors. Before I install them, it looks like there might be a splash shield missing inside the fender. I posted another thread about that here: https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...my-fender.html

Does anyone know where that felt covered anti-rattle bracket go inside the tailgate that is supposed to keep the rear glass from rattling?...

Thanks, Tom
