Stuff like this always seems to pop up 800 miles away from me. Anyone willing to take a look at it and report back?

 

I could possibly take a look at it, and report the overall condition. But if you're looking for guidance on originality, I'm not the man for the job. Unless it's obvious aftermarket stuff, I'm not knowledgeable enough to know date codes, casting #'s, chalk marks etc.

You should try to contact Chris (don't know his last name) goes by junior supercar. I believe he actually lives in Naperville or very close to it.

I'm in Naperville 2-3 times a week.
Spotted 4-5 flaws, just from the pictures.

Depending on what part of Naperville it is located I am probably 15-20 minutes away.

 

Damn, damn, damn! Still waiting to hear from a potential buyer for my GTI... can't bid unless I have the cash from that sale.... Rickman, I don't want to send you on an errand unless I know I'm ready to bid... two days left... maybe I'll hear from the guy later today...
