A/C Vacuum lines

Has anyone got a routing diagram for the A/C heating vacuum lines on a '63 Starfire? Mine is numbered 1,2,3,4,6,7 for the push buttons and 1,2,3 for the temperature control.
Thanks

I would be happy to try to help if I knew your '63 had the exact same setup as my '62s, which it might very well be. Of the two 62s I have one was a total disaster when it came to the vacuum lines going to the A/C dash controls. It is one of those things that is even a bit difficult to right even with a shop maintenance manual thanks to view obstructions beneath the dash and the nature of the port number indicators being barely discernible with the control unit out of the dash. I actually resorted to removing the console in order to improve viewing angles and access.

Ok, I found something that looks similar to what you have. But it's a schematic for big cars. If you have the same kind of AC system it should work. Have a look starting especially around page 6/43 in this link http://wildaboutcarsonline.com/membe...ection_15A.pdf

FYI, the '61-'65 Starfire is just a dressed up Super 88 two door hardtop or convertible with bucket seats, a console, a floor shift, and an ultra high compression version of the 394, all other aspects of the car are identical within given year's production.

So that link will give the right into then? It's for 63. Cool info about the car. I think when I was first looking for the info I got it mixed up with the Jetfire.. What a big difference, they're not even close!

Thanks for the input, but my question is where do the 3 lines form the temp control go? They are numberes 1 2 3. The other ones are numbered 1 2 3 4 6 7.

With all due respect, no one is likely to be able to give you all the color coded vacuum line routes in a short message. You will find a detailed color coded diagram in the '63 Oldsmobile service manual which you can buy on ebay in either original printed form or on CD.

So I guess our question is: "Why don't you buy a manual and get all the info you need for the car rather than trying to limp along asking questions?"

For your information I have a '63 service manual but it only shows the 6 way connector and not the 3 for the temp control.
So i guess my question I am asking is if anybody knows where they go, sorry if this is an inconvenience.

The three position vacuum manifold has to do with which version of the heater is in the car. If like the '61 and '62 manuals the illustration for the basic version of the heater, which it appears the control would be for. The link provided earlier to the manual very clearly shows the vacuum lines to all vacuum ports on the control (Section 15, page 6. illustration 15-10)

logically, one has to go to the heater thermostat, one should go to the vacuum dashpot and one to the blower dashpot. I doubt that solves anything though. I cannot find anywhere in the 63 manual a section for the 3 ports on the heat level controls. There has to be some 'T's involved somewhere.
See if this picture helps fill in the gaps of the missing T lines. It's for 1962 Starfire

Could it be that this one is from a '64 car as I know they look the same from the front.

IIRC I got this is either a 62 or 64. I know the back connectors aren't 100% like yours. What I was trying to find was something that would give you at least a starting point with where the lines could go. As you can see there are a number of T's that are needed to make the system work. I think 1 of the lines on the heater control was moved to the ventilator for your year? Not sure but suspect it's the 3 heater - teeing to the 4 ventilator and then to vacuum source.
