A/C limitations
The a/c compressors in most cars are good for 3000 RPM intermittent and if you use a gear ratio that exceeds that amount regularly, the compressor does not last long. You may find cars built as you are looking but if you are looking for an excuse to ignore the limitations of the A/C unit don't be surprised if you have to rebuild your A/C unit.

not for limitations
I know this may be the reason why olds didn't put the 3.42 units in cars with a/c only looking for documentation on the possibility of it happening. dealers would try to do anything to try to sell a car back in the day, they may have pulled strings to get a sale. I have spoken to people on the forum that have here of several car with 3.42 a/c cars. thanks for your reply. don't forget these cars (1970) had a comp. hold in relay)
