Man that thing is loaded. Basicly he wanted a SX or a 442 in notchback Supreme top. It was probaly easier to check the options he didn't want LOL.

You are exactly right. He had a 67 442 loaded as well, but he wanted the 72 to be a 442 but Oldsmobile wouldn't badge it as so, which is pretty much all was missing was the 442 badges and grilles since it did have the OAI hood, FE2 suspension, posi rear, big block and the dual gate. He ordered it ultimately for my Grandmother that unfortunately passed away in 77, so I inherited it with around 65,000 original miles on her and now she is at 85,000 original miles. I have the protect-o-plate, misc correspondence with Oldsmobile and other docs that I found in some boxes of his stuff. Thanks for inquiring.

Googled the dealer and it appears they are in the same location since the 40's, now selling Hondas.

If anyone knows someone who actually does restoration work on documents like buildsheets I would be interested - mine is in 100 pieces.

If you have a copy of your build sheet, could you send it to me in jpg or pdf format? If you have a photo of the car that would be great too (jsut one).

Thanks, Peter
Great idea! Registered my car on the Olds registry at Wild About Cars site-lets hope alot do!

Has a "Bona-Fide" elusive Lansing build sheet, not a broadcast card, but a build sheet surfaced?

I have 5 used window stickers and blank window stickers for 1977-1985 Olds. and also have 163 buildsheets for GM cars. I colleted them from juck cars. they are under the front seat or the back seat. It's the last thing they put in.

Welcome Ash, good luck finding a build sheet on a Lansing built car. Few and far between.
Places to check: top of gas tank, under the carpet, behind or under the back seat 'in the springs', in the headliner, if a bucket seat car, behind the plastic seat backs. There may be a few other places, but these seem to be your best bet. Best of luck.

In my lifetime I've parted out hundreds of Lansing built cars and restored and painted hundreds more. Never once did I find any paper over a gas tank or over a headliner on a Lansing built car. You're most likely to fine the fisher body broadcast card inside of the seats or under the carpet. There's only one time I found a card anywhere else. Cars built on other assembly lines may have broadcast info over the gas tanks etc. ~BOB
