Build sheet database
Hi All: I am trying to build a database of buildsheets for Cutlasses. At first I was concentrating on just the 1970 SX, but I would like to expand it to any Cutlass.
If you have a copy of your build sheet, could you send it to me in jpg or pdf format? If you have a photo of the car that would be great too (jsut one).
Thanks, Peter

Rusty: I understand that there may or may not be a build sheet. I find it interesting to see the various combinations of parts that actually went into the cars, not just what the assmebly manuals indicate was normal.
And to be clear - if you do not have a build sheet then please do not send me a photo.
If you do have any original window sticker information that would be interesting too.

That's interesting. I read in my assembly manual that my colour combo was not recommended. I have Dk Blue with silver striping. The factory recommended white stripes or gold, but not silver. I'm glad the original owner ordered the car this way.

*EDIT* I just sold the car and other parts. She will be heading on a transport truck to CT in late January.

Hey FireFighter - thanks for the pictures.
Just so everyone knows - Kurt at WildAboutCars contacted me and they will be publishing everything I collect.
Also, no personal information will be collected at all. I will not save anything which can identify you or the location of your car (like pictures with your license plate).
Please send all information via PM, that way trawlers will not pick it up.

yes-100891. also found carpet tags under rug in back seat-were installed by allen industries in compton ca on august 15 1969-build date from cowl tag is 08E and body sequence number is oo449-ted

I believe the 00891 is part of the VIN: 342570Z100891.
This is the first Freemont sheet Ihave seen. The sequece number is not a format I am used to, can anyone interpret it for me?
Thanks, Peter

Im thinking when the order was placed the build sheets were printed and it was an expected date of build. My sch date was 8-20 but cowl tag has a date of 08D a week later vin # 342570E103696. Freemont must of gotten to a slow start as yours was built after mine but your #100891.

Thanks, Ted, but I was talking to the dog!
Seriously, thanks for clearing that up. It really disturbs me that it appears so clearly to be a 6 when it is an 8, but that happens. Just goes to show you how difficult this detective work can be. Things can innocently be deceiving!
But it is also a relief to know that because it does now make sense.

that definitely looks like a 6 the number was in a creece on the original-I will see if i can get a better scan and repost-everthing else looks good-so this is an early cutlass? have you come across any earlier? I like the idea of collecting build sheets to see the different combos that were available

I was looking for an interpretation of the seq number, which s on the upper left of the buildsheet, below the VIN number. In this case it is:
007567 28 0408.
Also: I believe the if you expand the image you can see that the schedule date is in fact 08 29.
