brake fluid reservoir

brake fluid reservoir

ok so this is a dumb question but i dont have the manual for my car so can someone answer me this does brake fluid go in both holes under the lid? one says fluid here on the lid and the other says nothing but the guy at autozone that gave me the fluid was showing me a pic of the whole brake booster setup and he said fluid goes in both holes...but im not sure any one? now since i have fluid in both sides there is smoke coming from the right rear tire it stopped eventually once i had parked the car

Yes, both sides of the reservoir need to be filled. One is for the fronts and one for the backs. This way if you have a leak in the brake lines you still have brakes at one end of the car to stop in an emergency.

btw, i didnt smoke was coming from the tire but the rear tire area.....
