Blinker Fluid Reservoir?
I got a case of this stuff for xmas and I can't figure out where to stick it?
Do I need the organic type-f fluid?
1971 Vista Cruiser, 350 w/TH400 and 4 way flashers, no trailer light hook-up.

i wanted a chain drive muffler for Christmas but didn't get it. where is the best place to get the sprocket welded to the drive shaft? you do know that is where muffler bearings came from don't you.
It is coolant and contact preservative.
The reservoirs are little golf-ball-sized silver cans under the dash - On your Vista, there is one on the fuse block and one up under the dash next to the column. The come factory filled, but on old cars, the stuff is usually all evaporated out due to disintegrated O-rings. Refill them by removing the cans, gently prying the contact base away from the metal, refill with fluid, and using a new O ring, carefully recrimp the can around the base.
Contacts will last longer with the fluid, as arcing is eliminated and unit runs cooler also.
Maintaining these is a must, especially for those who drive for hundreds of miles withthe blinkers on.

Never I mean never let the smoke out of an electric motor, starter motor or alternator. if you do it will stop working. Only the factory has the tools to install smoke, can't do it at home or along side the road
I Naval Aviation we always had this joke about sending the new guy out to get 50 feet of flight line, coiled neatly in a bucket.

Blinker fluid.

I'm gonna have to try that at the parts store to see if they try to look it up.

And remember, if you spill beer, you are too drunk...

Of course I wish they can make tires that have even a bigger smoke reservoir!
