Bluevista and cutlassgal #1 at bop

We did it again!!!!! The Prettiest One was #1 in our class today! Bluevista was #1 in his class! What a great thing!! This is just unbelievable to me, and I'm liking it, lol!! Nice show - we got sprinkled on a few times, but no heavy rains. Clouds and sun and very muggy.

I also got to meet Wmachines from our site first thing after I got there! How cool was that! He's a very nice guy. I just had a great weekend!

Here are some pics!!

Nice! Congrats guys! I can't wait for the day when I can actually take my Cutlass to a show without being TOO embarrassed. Very cool awards too.....they aren't cakes are they? That's what I thought when I first saw them. They made me hungry

Yes, a big CONGRATS!!! to both of you. That has to have been a fun way to cap off the day!

I don't know that I've ever seen that many nice Oldsmobiles together in real life. About how many cars attended? How many do you think were Oldsmobiles?

John

Wink Teepo the Trophy Queen

We be #1!

I didn't think you would post the devil horn pic Sandy??
You're welcome 442much, I've practiced a long time to make perfect devil horns.
You ever see people's reactions when they win the World Series or the Super Bowl? That's Sandy winning a trophy, fired up the whole show.
Her sister (very fun and really knows her nutso 'sis ) told me she has to be there to hold Sandy up in case she faints after a win.

It was a pretty good show, a light misty rain on and off kept some cars away but it got nice around noon. There were at least 200 cars there, high percentage of Oldsmobiles but as I've said before...Ohio is Olds country. Wait until the all Olds show in Alliance in August, you ain't seen nothin' yet John.

The food and DJ weren't real good, usually it's another food vendor and DJ. The clubs take turns and the Buhog club ran it this year, that's enough explanation for me.
I was stuck in the class with late model land yachts, wagons and compacts. I was hoping to go up against other Vistas or Sportwagons but I had the only skywagon there.
"Teepo" had to go against all the Skylarks,Tempest/Le Mans and other Cutlasses, and my engine defeated them all.

I think the trophy bug has really hit her bad, two is a collection, you need to get that fix and will search them out like a junkie to add to it.
I think a Dairy Queen in Cincinnati gives out trophys at their cruise-in on Mondays Sandy??

On a side note,
I walked up to my car at the show and these two guys were checking out the spoiler. The one guy told the other that the screws on the back face were painted and he didn't think they should be and the guy who did it didn't know what he was doing. I chimed in and said they were supposed to be painted. The other guy said " How would you know?" and looked at his buddy and laughed . I then told both of them "It's my car, that's how" both guys shrunk to about an inch tall.

My wife gave me that shirt to me for my birthday so I had no choice, she had to button it. All my normal shirts pull over my head and I don't know how.
The barber scalped my pretty good too, me and the boys in the barber shop were talking cars and the guy just kept cutting, lucky we stopped talking cars.
A new younger guy, I think he just got out of the military and was trained to be a barber there, only one haircut in his repertoire but he's really fast.

some real nice cars there - love the 58 wagon, the 68? 88 conv, the 64? Starfire - but your 2 are the nicest

I like how it's Allan's motor in TPO:

"Teepo" had to go against all the Skylarks,Tempest/Le Mans and other Cutlasses, and my engine defeated them all."

Congrats to both of you....both very beautiful cars indeed! It would be really cool if either or both of you could make it to the Nationals! If I could drive my old clunker 8 hrs to Seven Springs last year, you two should be able to drive those beauties to Sturbridge! Hope to see you there!

I don't know about Sturbridge, that thing drinks gas, if Sandy goes maybe she could trailer the Vista behind The Winningest One.
At the show yesterday I did see an Olds with a magazine article in the trunk that had a pic of your Vista in the center of the page Aron.
It was framed and sitting with with other "spirit" items.
You're famous nationwide.

It's here in the back seat side window..... Oh lord.... don't tell me it's in the wrong place?? That seems to be where I see them in other cars.

TeepogetsatrophyRavenna6-12-10001.jpg

I want to tell TK65, again, what a great job he did on that window sticker!! It sure gets a lot of looks - I am really surprised!! I'm glad I got it made!

......The Winningest One.

Now there's finally a name you call her that I like, lol!!!!! She got a nice coat of wax tonight after a gentle sponge bath!

Thanks again all you guys for the compliments, the advice, the help, the tips.... and to Allan, for painting her engine for me. I knew she'd get a trophy!!!! I had lots of faith!

Then how much were they then??

Hey Sandy, you doing the Stan Hywet Hall Father's Day show ? You had to be registered by June first so I blew it. Maybe I'll call and beg, "I sent it in but a dog must of ate it at the post office?".
I'm a father, just two kids and they're all mine so I should get a break.
I don't need to see how many Father's Day cards I get in the mail, no extra mothers of my babies around eithers.

Nope - I'm not going. Seems I heard about it, but being Father's Day I figured I'd stick around home, take Larry out to eat with the kids and all that good stuff. I may go to one on Saturday though.
