Blinker/cruise control lever

Hey all
I've seen a couple posts of people looking for a replacement for the blinker cruise lever on early 1970's cars, something that's hard to find. My 1971 Cutlass wagon has a broken lever that a previous owner glued back together. It's plastic. I've discovered the later 1970's cars used a metal one that's similar in appearance. I haven't dug into the one on my wagon to make sure the plug under the dash is the same. But if someone is OK with the slight difference in appearance, and if they have to splice the correct plug on it I believe these will work. Attached is one I removed from a 1978 Toronado that I plan to use on the 1971 wagon when I get around to it. So the later one has a raised pad around the word Cruise, and the arrows are different. That may be the only difference. John

The first three photos are of the 1978 Toro lever

The top one is from the Toro, the bottom is on my 1971 wagon. Note the black plastic ring is missing from the wagon.
