Isn't that for 73-77? IIRC the one for 71/72 which looks identical on the pushbutton end is a bolt in, not a screw in.

 

the screw in style is the big car and the bolt on is the A body. Can't remember the years.

 

If this works for a '71 Delta Royal convertible, I'm interested.

Thx Eric, It looks exactly like the 72 NOS one I have for my Cutlass (except mine has the flat tab for bolt in). 71/72 look the same, but 70 and earlier had different appearance on the stalk.

Cruise is a relatively rare option for these old A, B and C bodies. Contrary to popular belief, even the B/C cars didn't all come loaded with options.

 

?? The cruise switch on the dash of the Delta is just to turn the unit on/off - much like the rocker switch on the lower dash of the A body. None of the stalks on the Delta, Ninety Eight or Cutlass had wood grain on the levers. As Eric pointed out this is for B body cars (Delta is B body) so it will likely fit in nicely. This stalk is used 2 ways - for setting the cruise speed, and signal light indicator.

Not a ton of cars had cruise but more than you'd think. Seems like a lot of the 2 BLL SX's got it and the convertibles - "cruising cars"

 

Found the part number flap inside the box. Original # 412341 was crossed out, 408847 hand written above it.

 

Well, mine definitely has wood gaining on it. It my not be original, but it's what I have on my Convt.

I bought this one off of ebay recently. It should work for my 67 442, which I think was the first year for the A body to have the turn signal stick controller for cruise, with 66 being a dash switch. Apparently it does not have the flutes of the olde ones, so it's incorrect. Guess I'll use it until I find the correct one, it was pretty cheap.
