Bleeding the convertible hydraulic lines

I'm going to replace the hydraulic lines in my 70 Supreme convertible. Any suggestions on the best way to bleed the lines?

I just run the top up and down a few times and the air seems to get back in the tank. I think our systems are similar though 15 years apart in age..... Tedd

The convertible top hydraulic system recirculates the fluid, like your power steering pump. The lines are small enough that the fluid will be fully circulated by running the top up and down several times. Like Tedd says, make sure it is full and cycle the top a few times. No need to bleed it like your brakes.

Thanks for the tips gentleman. I should be good to go. I replaced one side several years ago with copper tubing instead of plastic and it's worked fine so I plan to do the same for the other side.
