Well the coolest cars I had are
2001 Ford F150 Lightning
It had a full exhaust, Kenne Bell supercharger with pulleys changed and water/meth injection.

2004 Mustang Gt 5spd with longtube headers, procharger, cams, and trick flow heads

70 Road Runner 383 4spd all I did to that was headers and cams
Sadly there all gone.

Sometimes it is the car you did not own that is important!
1966 Dodge Coronet 440 (383 CID) -- My sister wrecked it - significant rear quarter damage.
After many repairs, Dad still smelled gas fumes.
Somehow, Mom then came home home in a 'test' drive of the '67 442!!!

1967 Cutlass Supreme 442 Post - my first driver

1953 Packard Patrician - Father/Son project; Exquisite ride; 127" wheelbase;
Straight 8, 327 CID, 9-main bearing, flathead
1953 Packard Clipper - parts car
1972 Dodge Wagon - scarey driver
1976 Volvo 245
1979 Plymouth Horizon
1985 Plymouth Voyager
1988 Oldsmobile Delta 88 - loved the 3.8L reliability; lousy paint
1992 Chrysler Town & Country
1998 / 1999 Plymouth Breeze - served a purpose for kid vehicles
2002 Honda CRV
2004 Honda Civic
2005 Chevy Aveo - easy to park
2009 Honda Civic
2011 Honda CRV
2012 Honda Civic

I ran across pictures of a few cars I had in the 80's and early 90's the highlights were:

70 SS 454 with factory aluminum heads and 4 speed
67 SS with 427 435horse engine and TH400
69 400 Firebird with 4 speed , ram air III and genuine steel trans am hood
71 Mustang with a 429

I have owned over 100 cars and light trucks 40 or so being Oldsmobiles , most were GM products Ony a dozen or so pieces of ford and 3 mopars.

Well, when comparing sheer quantity and quality to those of other members, I had better get with the program! I have a tendency to get too attached and am not able to make headway on my projects as quickly as I would like. With 17 years of vehicle ownership under my belt, here is my short list.
  1. 1968 Olds 442 (High school first car-400/400, club coupe, bucket/console, pwr everything except seats, green/green, #s match). SOLD.
  2. 1970 Olds 442 (High school second car. Had with my '68 during my junior and senior years-455/400, holiday coupe, silver/black/black, bucket/console, pwr brks/strng, #s match). Just about finished.
  3. 1970 Olds 442 W30 (High school second car. Purchased after '68 was sold during my senior year-455/400, holiday coupe, tourquoise/black when I had it but found out it was a black w/gold stripe car, pwr brks/strng, #s match but had wrong heads/intake/carb/air cleaner/dist). SOLD.
  4. 1970 Olds 442 (Post-high school-455/400, holiday coupe, lt green/green/green, pwr bench/column, pwr brks/strng, #s match). Dad and I purchased it for mom, but she got a new Caddy instead. Just about finished.
  5. 1970 Olds Rallye 350 (Wasn't looking for another, but had to jump on this one- 350/350, F85 Club Coupe, bench/column, you know the color combo, pwr brks/strng, #s match). Won't need much.
  6. 2000 Toyota Celica. Bought at 11k miles. Just hit 133k. 28+ mpg in city/38+ mpg on the highway. Any questions?
  7. 2002 Chevy 1500. What car guy doesn't need a truck?

My 66 L69 was the fastest car I had ever driven at the tender age of 20. Many years ago. Still my favorite car of all time. I will get another or restore one again someday.

I hear ya, Joe Capp,
I was so pleased when I sold my 70 GTO convertible 14 years ago for $2900. I knew nobody would want to pay high gas prices in the future. Perfectly driveable with rebuilt engine, tranny and posi diff. If we BOTH knew then what we know now !!
P.S. Glad I don't have to make mortgage payments from my car sales skills.

You own that wagon now? Very close to the top of the list of cars I want to own. I'm jealous.

Picture is around twenty years old. I was single then.

#19 on my list. Had factory ordered 3.08 posi (10 bolt) saginaw 4speed, knee knocker tach. 275HP 327. One of the few I "kick" myself for getting rid off.

WHEW! I just spent way over an hour on this thread!! You people are hardcore. Here's my feable list

- 1974 Chevelle Malibu (4dr 350 2bbl that wouldn't die. Car literally fell apart around drivetrain!)
- 1970 Cutlass S (350 2bbl. Brother "restored" then GAVE it to me to get a '73 Cutlass Supreme with a big block. The 1 that hooked me into Olds. Car was stolen from movie theater lot in Levittown, NY, 1992 )
- *1972 Cutlass Supreme (1992-present, 350 4bbl, body rough. Motor and trans worked in '07. She's on her way out )
- 1994 Nissan Maxima (awesome stereo!)
- 2001 Infiniti QX4
- 1968 Dodge Charger (383 4sp 2bbl, 1 of 74 with that combo, red black top, black interior. Friends dad bought car new in '67. I begged for this car for many years, finally got it when they moved. Tough as DD, needed $$ in drivetrain work, had to sell. Boy I wish I had THAT 1 back!)
- 1995 BMW 525i (weighed more than my '72 Olds...what a tank!)
- *2008 GMC Acadia SLT2 (wifey's)
- *2003 Mercury Marauder (black, 32v DOHC 300+hp, Magnaflows, SCT tune, very cool. FOR SALE!)
- *1970 442 (dream car! Pic in avatar. Oh, the dreams I have for this car!)

* = currently have

Fun thread - glad it got resurrected. Not only do I wish I still had most of these, I don't even have pictures of most of them.

1961 Rambler Ambassador sedan V8 with ac and posi, push button auto trans, pretty quick, hand me down from my Mother
1962 Pontiac Bonneville 2 dr. Sky blue with an incredible multi tone blue interior. First car I ever bought with my own money. Already rusty at only six years of age
1964 Comet Caliente
1968 Charger Beautiful B5 blue with a blindingly white interior. I wanted a Road Runner. Dad found this one instead. He was really angry when he found out it had the same engine as the RR
1969 Corvette Absolutely hated it and didn't keep it long
1971 Mercury Comet. V8 floor shift 3 speed Pretty fun car
1970 Javelin 390 auto. Probably my favorite car
1969 AMX 390 4 speed
1970 442 W30 Bench seat 4 speed no options. Platinum dealer installed black vinyl top (all the rage back then) Bought it from the local AMC dealer as a two year old trade in. It was my wife's daily driver for a few years. Got it to run a best of 12.6 at 112. It sat until about 2011 until I get stupid one day and sold it
1971 Hornet SC360 4 speed ugly brown color but one of only 723 made
1971 Javelin
1970 442 W30 The opposite of the Platinum car. Aegean Aqua, black stripes, white interior with every option available. Came out of the South side of Chicago in the late '70's. Held on to it for many years before letting go. Always wondered where this one ended up
1965 Vista Cruiser White with Bluer interior. Used as DD for quite a while
1964 Cutlass 2 Dr Hardtop very cool car that I wish I still had. Bought it in Albuquerque after the original owner wrecked the front end. Light Blue with Blue interior It was an ac car with every option that the 442 would have later that year. Bucket seats, 4 speed,. console mounted tach. I remember that the owner was still angry at Oldsmobile even after all those years for not telling him that the 442 would be available soon. Sold in central WI and never saw it again
1970 to 72 Vista Cruisers - I've probably had 8 or more of these. Seems like all but one were either Sherwood Green or Aspen Green. The odd one out was Azure Blue. I used to go to Albuquerque about twice a year and literally buy them out of peoples driveways. It's amazing how many were there.
1970 Vista Cruiser Listing this one separate because I kept it for a long time. Painted it Aegean Aqua. Redid the entire interior in a really cool grey cloth. Front seats were from a Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. Added a Ram Air hood, gauges and sport wheel. I actually owned this one twice. When we moved to Spokane, I sold it to a guy in Seattle. After we moved to San Antonio it came up for sale on eBay so I bought it back. It eventually went to a new owner in Indiana
1970 W31 Real deal Rallye Red and black with a 4 speed. Sold it to a guy in AZ
1970 Pontiac GTO Judge - Real deal rescued from a salvage yard near Las Cruces NM
1970 Toronado Sherwood Green My winter car in WI for a number of years. Seemed unstoppable in the snow
1970 Toronado GT Bought off the street in a little place south of Albuquerque. White with Blue top and interior. Traded it to a guy in SE New Mexico for a 1970 442 W30. That one was a Burnished Gold auto. He eventually sold the Toro to Sweden and my W30 was stolen, never to be seen ago
1973 Vista Cruiser
1974 Ford Mustang GT
1975 Ford Gran Torino Elite I was working for Ford at this point
1978 Buick Estate Wagon
1985 Ford LTD LX The cool one with the V8
Multiple who cares cars until more recently
My sig panel has the most recent list

I almost never sell anything. I either keep something I've had forever, or drive it until it dies.

Had:

66 Bonneville Convertible: first beater /sold
72 Cutlass: second beater / sold
74 Torino Elite: (plus two parts cars of the same thing) daily driver and turned it into an Enduro Stock Car before it got totalled in its last race
86 Grand Prix: totalled when I got hit by a carload of drunk teens
82 Mustang: purchased for parts to convert my 68 Cougar over to a serpentine belt system
77 Monte Carlo: sold
84 Delta 88 Coupe: drove til 200K miles, parted out and scrapped
94 Crown Vic Police Car: sold
77 Grand Prix: drove near 300K miles, parted out and scrapped

Currently have:
68 Cougar: first car, one owner and will never sell
88 Thunderbird: second owner and mine since 1991, never sell
75 Delta 88 Vert: Wife's cruiser, never sell
78 Delta 88 Coupe, March-November daily driver, not for sale
83 Regal Wagon: current beater, will drive til it's dead
15 Toyota Sienna Van: wife's daily

currently shopping for another Crown Vic Cop Car for Jr.
