Best Tires?
I am looking to buy a new set of tires for the rear of my Olds 98 convertible and was wondering if anyone else has the covers over the rear wheelwells. How wide a tire can you get on it and which is the best fit? It currently has 235 - 75 - 15 inch all around.

hi wolf I have 3 sets of 235 75R15 on mine, skirts on the wagon
Toronado and 88 have Uniroyal Tiger Paw HD sidewalls, love them
wagon has cheapy Metrix made by Cooper, also fine ($330 / 4 installed, Goodyear)
your issue is going to be the whitewall. depending on what size WW you want, you may want to look into Diamondback
very hard to find any WW nowadays, I got lucky with the Metrix IMO

Use the following link to calculate tire widths.

I also have 235/75 R15s on my 71 98. I don't know how much wider one could go though.
Here is another option for wide white walls. I've never used these and I don't know if they work well. Just take it for what it is worth...
