Beautiful day for a cruise in
Looks like some superb cars came out but that pair of Woodie wagons made this show. Ya rarely see one at any show you go to, but TWO?!
Every time I see a 69 Camaro Pace Car I wonder if it's that derelict rusty carcass that was at Charlotte AutoFair about 30 years ago with a $5k price tag. The only thing salvageable on that thing was the Pace Car data plate and VIN, and that's what you were paying for.
Great day and turnout. The smell of cured Smithfield ham in the background sounds nice too!😋

All Thunderbolts were two door sedans and this one appears to be a two door hardtop or possibly even a Fairlane 500 Sports Coupe.
There's some argument over whether any Thunderbolts were built on the higher line Fairlane 500 platform. Given the car's intended purpose I tend to believe all 100 were base Fairlane two door sedans. As much cutting as was required to stuff an FE-type engine in something that was designed for nothing bigger than a 289, they needed all the body reinforcement they could get.
But nothing wrong with a tribute or replica as long as people are upfront about it and don't try to pass it off as the genuine article.
