I don't know what it is worth but it sure is a nice car. I love 66 and 67's and that one is the perfect color and a 4-speed. Go to hagerty.com to get an idea of value.

I'd like to see the numbers that "match", considering that Olds didn't start stamping the block and trans with a VIN derivative until the 1968 model year.

If you can post some more pics we can give you a better idea of it's potential worth. Min 20K as it shows.

Very sweet with a lot of options. Maybe I am just old school but I always liked these more then later ones.

I usually go with the Old Car Price Guide's numbers. I would call that a strong condition 3 car. Stick and tripower will help. Documentation showing dealer added tripower and the protectoplate will help.

For numbers, like Joe said, if you look at the front of the right head it should have a number stamped into the pad which will match the protectoplate. If you dont have the plate, then you can be sure it is A correct engine and transmission and if you know the car for a long time, the correct engine, etc.

Hard to really tell about condition -- need more pictures. Could be a good #2 car.

With regard to the numbers, I understood Joe to say that there are no numbers to match, as Olds didn't start stamping engines and transmissions with VIN derivatives until '68 and thus original engine/transmission status cannot be determined. I had always thought this was the case -- am I reading wrong or misunderstanding?

This is true, unless you have the protectoplate with the engine serial number on it still, then you compare it to the engine serial on the front of the right head.

Very nice car. More pictures would help. Like to see the cowl plate for sure. Vin tag also.
Thanks

There could be an engine ID # on paperwork if any. My 66 window sticker does not have any any ID info but the invoice does.

This is the closest that I’ve seen recently. It sold to one of the high bidders after the auction, I assume for slightly over $26,000. It is also well equipped, but has fewer miles and appears to be in better cosmetic condition.

What price did you have in mind? I’m in central CA and have had my eye out for a nice 442 since I drove Mom’s 66 Cutlass through college.
