I have done several, but none recently. Nothing complicated, I would think nowadays finding the parts might be a challenge...but?? Anything specific I can try to help with?

I've done it in the past. It's fairly easy if you can get the bearing and seal at a reasonable cost, and have a shop press available. Many of the old shop manuals showed the procedure. In the past, there was a "great" parts supplier in New Orleans called Quality Reconditioning. Katrina put an end to that.

I was thinking about building one with high quality low drag bearings and seal to free up some hp.
The class I want to build my car to, requires factory cast iron water pump that is driven with factory pulley and belt.

Subscribing, I have the tooling to accomplish this, but need a source for bearings and seals. It would be great if anybody could share a good parts source.
