anyone drag racing with a 455

I finially got my car running good and I plan on taking it to the track here soon. I was just curious to see how many people have a 455 the use to race with and how well they hold up under the kinda punishment. Its a street/strip build so I won't be hot lapping it or anything like that just wanna know if they really hold up to their reputation of being a strong long lasting motor.

Yea it kinda is. If you didn't like the question there should have been no reason for you to even reply.

To answer your question there are a ton of us drag racing with a 455 engine. They hold up fine as long as they are built right and you respect their limitations.

Brandon that was uncalled for, I edited your post. I agree with Dave, I'm sure if you did a search you would have found an answer to your question.

Not to criticize too much, but go back and look at Dave's sig line and you'll see why your question elicits kind of a "DUH" reaction. You might want to browse in the Racing and High Performance sub-forum.
