That is willing to take a photo of the transmission crossmember.
I am planing on adding duals to my car, but need to see where to "mod" the later 75-77 crossmember for pipe clearance.
Thanks.
Back in the days of no internet, tv, radio, pony express, namely 1991, the last time I did one of these cars, all we did was hang the header (or exhaust manifold) and figure it out. You're going to need more clearance Clarence than just for the pipe. It will need to be a bit bigger. You know, so it will fit.
... No offense. And of course you are correct no more accurate way to modify the bar than your way. Last time I had an Olds converted to true duals. A pro shop notched and boxed it on the test fit.

Thank you.
I asked, because a 400.00 new crossmember is out of the question, and I'd like to do the rework of the crossmember before I try to install the exhaust. I am working on jack stands and in driveway. It can't sit on the stands for days while I try to install the pipe off the manifold and then take the crossmember out and have it welded/cut.
I want to pull the crossmember, have it reworked. then install it back in place. So I can do the stock 1973-4 exhaust on a week end.
I did the google search, but either I don't put enough keywords. as I got. images that some were of a 1967 another was a 1986 , So I didn't trust that what I was looking at was what I was after.
Thanks again.
