Anybody Know This Former Salad Bar?
Yeah, This is Olds related
My wife and I spent the day yesterday in Watkins Glen for the Grand Prix Festival:

If you live in the Northeast and you appreciate the old days of racing through the streets this is a great time. They highlight a different car every year. This year it was the Mustang. There were mostly newer ones but there were a few nice 67-69 race cars there too. My uncle's former co-worker was there with his 67 Shelby GT500 that he bought new. It has less than 75,000 miles on it. His wife says they never drove it in the winter because she was the one that mostly drove it back when they bought it and she wasn't comfortable driving a stick in the snow. Probably a good thing because the car is beautiful. It had one repaint unfortunately I didn't get any pics.
So back the the Oldsmobile part of the story. One car I did get a few pics of was this G-Body NASCAR type car. It was bought off e-bay from a restaurant that had fashioned it into a salad bar. It was restored for club racing at the Glen. Here's a pic and a little of the car's story in the second pic. There was also a Quad 4 Achieva there but I didn't get a pic of that either.
Here's a link to the people that restored the car
