Any pointers on Pulling a 66 Toronado motor?
Found some posts. Appears it hangs up and several have said to pull trans with motor then separate. assuming I can get to to those torque converter bolts.
Is there anything else that I need to be looking for that is problematic on getting motor out out of a 66 Toro?
Thanks,

pulled without trans. With a helper, we had it on ground in two hours. If we had to do it again tomorrow, we could probably get that time down a good bit just by knowing some things to look for. Reviewing some previous postings and finding the "tip" on getting front axle out (so motor can move forward) probably helped as much as anything, but the axle actually took longer than it should have.
I can say the bracketry is certainly interesting on these things.
bell was somewhat stuck, but we got it freed up without breaking it. with exception of a few bolts up around the radiator shrouding, most things broke loose without ridiculous effort. Wasted too much time on front motor mount before we figured out you could just knock the two nuts off through the crossmember structure. Think I kept the oil pan in good shape.
Just thought I'd post in case anyone searches in future on one of these things.
didn't set any records, but wasn't as bad as I expected.
