Anti-Squeak tape for 1962 body panels

The 61-63 f-85 cars and I would assume the big cars also have what is called anti-squeak tape between the body panels where they bolt together. I googled it and not seeing what looks like what GM used. This stuff that come off the car looks much like 3M strip Caulk but nearly 1 inch wide, maybe just a little tougher. Just guessing but roughly 1/16 thick. Does anyone know the correct stuff I need? The assembly manual calls it 580801 B.O.P. Anti-Squeak

I'm getting ready to install mine on my 62 Starfire and I'm going to use white silicone caulking. No particular reason. What your looking for is brutal tape, it's used to seal around doors and windows on RVs and house trailers.

If it's butyl tape, it's still available, there's GM rolls of it on ebay. It's the stuff that holds the rear 2 door window chrome on the glass.
