Hello all,
Not really sure where to put this, so mods please move if necessary.

I have a 1967 Cutlass Supreme 2 door hardtop. The gas/fuel tank strap mounting points nearest the rear axle have severely rotted away (see pics). I'm not sure if these can be procured separately or if I will need to get a trunk floor replacement panel(s). I *believe* they are part of the trunk floor. However in all of the pictures that I have seen online of replacement trunk floors, I only see pictures showing the "inside of the trunk" side of the replacement, not the "bottom side of the car" side. Does anyone know if this is part of the trunk floor replacement panels or if they can be procured and welded in separately?

Driver side. Top is toward rear axle, Bottom is fuel tank

The part you need is called a fuel tank brace. They are available as repros, since they also fit Chevelles. They spot weld to the underside of the trunk floor. The repro floors do not have them pre-installed.

Joe - thanks for the information. Doesn't look like it will be easy, but it'll have to be done...
