Alas, things change...
Just put in an offer 4% over ask and won, a nice house with a nice size 25'x35'x9'tall INTERNAL measurement garage...I can put my current 2 bay commercial grade shop IN IT.
But, its time to part ways with the 78 98. My projects for the next few years will be a house remodel and the suburban.
In the meantime, I may not get to my radio in the olds before someone buys it, but if yall have some somewhat working solid state 70's, 80's radios that need work, I would like to see a couple to see what it takes..and in return could post the tutorial for those inclined to weld in new parts.... (in our antique biz I am focussing on what sells: the stereo restorations! who wants a marantz 2252b?) My new muse has been getting fm tuners to work...

Congrats on the new house and shop... Sounds like a good size shop, BUT... Wait until you start moving into it... It may fill up faster then you could imagine...

In our hobby, for the most part, you never have enough space... I say this from experience with 5K sq. ft. of interior storage space...
Good luck with your home remodel, that is definitely primary when it comes to family...

A member who might not want to be named, buried a statue of Joseph in his yard and got an offer within minutes. I'm not Catholic but some say it works
And as you might guess Amazon is ready when you are

bury a statue and somehow, somewhere, someday someone will dig it up and declare the indians were catholic...
we are keeping the house in the woods with the current garage sp Im in no hurry right now, I have been thinking about the things I didnt consider when I built the first - such as the electric, just go right to 100 amp off the bat...use LEDs only, no bulbs of any type - stuff like that.
others: the 2252B is in wonderful shape with exactly 3 burned lights, new warm LED festoons on their way from parts express. I will be restoring it inside and get a few emails every week - define too much, they pay $250 for broken ones...(I did a 2330B for a guy that was valued at $1600 - geeez)
the joysticks: use deoxit D5 on the pots inside, they are 2 pots and 2 dummys with a wire that the joystick sort of 'rides' to give quatrature control D5 them and work them, then use faderlube F5 to protect them.
