air filter for a 1970 Rallye 350

Exclamation air filter for a 1970 Rallye 350

Hello, Question if I take the cowl air intake off and look at the air filter, it looks like its upside down. if i flip it the wing nut cant reach the threaded rod that comes out of carburetor. i will post pictures let me know. thank you

You can purchase a longer threaded stud or a shorter air filter.

14'' diameter filters are common on these cars and many others and available in different heights, 2", 3''or 4''.

You may be able to screw the rod up, so you can get the nut on, or may have to get a longer rod, may be the wrong one.

It seems like you have a taller filter than the ram air one. What filter you running? You should be running an ACDelco A366C or equivalent. Short little thing. Right about 2.5" tall. I think Fram makes a CA342 and WIX makes a 42102.
