NAPA's got re-mans for $214 and $224, with clutch, $174 without, and new ones for $568.

I'm sure other outlets are in that range.

Or $20 at the junkyard (Darn, Steve, you beat me to it, and with the same number, too!). My favorite.

Yeah, I know I will never use it but I am nego. a price with this guy on the car I have been hunting for years (Rallye 350). I thought if I had an idea going in I could use it as a bargining chip. I am only guessing at this point as there is no Belt on it. That tells me it needs replaced.
Thanks guys! $20 @ a junk yard? I am guessing that any '70 olds A.C. will work?

Pretty much any GM A-6 compresor from 1962 to 1980 will work, if it's not a precise restoration.
Exact years, Joe?

yes, and it would need it, 100+ from what I remember. Any compressor from that period would work and you can get a repo sticker for the correct year. But then you would have to decide if you would stick with R12 or go with R134a or now I hear there is a new on 134B coming out........

These items do kind of seem trivial but if you get on the "all original" kick they all add up. UGH, let me tell you... and with a Rallye 350 you would probably find yourself going down that road as well.
