That actually looks like with some work it could be plated and made to look halfway decent? Are they worth a lot? Better than nothing.
Was the shifter bent over and busted or was something else happening?
I've seen and heard of people breaking their arms shifting when it isn't all the way in gear and pops back, never seen the shifter break?
My buddy broke his arm shifting his '66 SS 396 Chevelle 4 speed back in high school. I had to shift for him on the way home, miserable SOB wouldn't let me drive it.
Rich kid with a credit card so the next day we took his mom's new Cadillac and went to Midwest and got a vertical gate to solve the problem and installed it. With the cast on he couldn't pull the release so he would shift with his right arm and reach over with his left hand to pull the release up, no hands power shifting.
Then right after that a Sunbeam Tiger kicked his butt, the Sunbeam was already turned around and coming towards him when he got to the "designated" finish line, so then he put in a Turbo 400.
