AC Ports Oldsmobile 1964 98

Hello All,

I was wondering if someone can tell me where the hi and low ports are located for the AC on a 1964 98 olds. I see a port by the compressor and one on the STV valve. Does anyone know which one is high and which one is low. Please see attached picture

Thanks!

Hmm........I plan on putting my AC back in when I get around to it too. (1963 D-88). There are lots of experienced people on this site that can help. I'm not one of them at this time. Is your system original, or are you using aftermarket parts??

On my 63 both charge ports are at the back of the compressor, they had to be changed when it was converted to R-134. Is there a plug in the second fitting by the compressor? I also have the port on the STV valve with a black cover on it. The systems are close but not the same.

the high side would be the smaller line going from the compressor to the condenser. the low side would be the larger line coming from the evaporator back to the compressor .. i hope this helps
