97 s10 wont start when hot

I got the truck from my unkle in MN, drove it to AZ, and when it gets on the warm side it wont start. im sure its spark related caus i can dump gas down the throttle body and it wont fire.
No real history on the truck other than it sat for 5 years before i brought it down. 4.3 v6, pretty sure it has a spider injection, new parts are radaitor, thermoustat and cooling flush, new ac system, new ignition moduel.
Wires look on the new side so im sure the plugs are ok. 200k on her. Other quirks are an off idle hesitation and a random miss at cruse speed.

I dont trust the guage, but when it ses 210 and i shut it off she wont start again untill she cooles down, takes about 30 munutes.

If it's a no spark situation I'd GUESS the new module and/or the coil.

Remove those coil packs and have them tested at the auto parts store. Better yet, drive to the auto parts store, remove one of the coil packs, then have it tested. Cheap imported electronics are known to fail when HOT.

When it happens spray the crank position with brake cleaner to cool it off. If it starts back up your cp sensor is failing.

Those trucks were pretty problematic, back when I turned wrenches in college those blazers/trucks were freaking everywhere and they always needed something!

I wouldn't go all in on a spark issue until you verify there is no spark and/or the spider isn't cracked. If its already drained the fuel line pressure in the plenum, adding more fuel wont help. The coils and the modules were common failures though. Either way do some diagnosing before loading the parts cannon.

Had more than a few of those trucks. They very sensitive to battery conditon. Have the battery tested. They can have enough juice to spin fine, but not enough to power the rest of the electronics. Especially when hot. No charge to test battery at most auto parts stores . No need to remove anything FREE and easy do this first

Ignition switches were problematic on these things too. I don't think S10 had a security chip on the key but I know from experience Bravadas did. It failed and stranded me 300 miles from home (among many other hateful things it did).

It was the only vehicle I've ever owned that I truly hated.
