85 olds delta 88 turn signal problem

When i put the lights on the car the left turn signal on the dash lights up steady.If you put the left signal on the light then flashes after the turn is made it stays steady again the right side is fine.Only happens when the lights are on any answers

Check the left front turn signal bulb and see if the filaments are shorted together inside the bulb.

Thank You Highwayman and Redog for your input so far so good the filament in the bulb was touching in the front.Hopefully that fixed the problem Thanks.
