8 track housing

When the 8 track was installed were they all black or were the housings color-matched to the interior?

Housings were color-matched to the interior for '68 I know.

I've seen green, blue, black, brown housings through the '72 model year. Housing and the front rubber trim piece were color matched.

If it was a factory installation, yes they were color matched. The dealer installed ones should have been painted as well but I suspect some dealers didn't bother.
