The car is a Delta 88 Crown Royale Landau. Hurst apparently installed the Landau package, which was purely cosmetic. These were not marketed as Hurst cars.
I saw one of these languishing in a front yard for years at home in South Carolina. I had always meant to stop by and ask about it. But, one day it was gone. I sure hope I see is again some day. Restored.
thanks joe, figured you would have the scoop on these.does kinda have a hurst look to it with that top.what did they do about the side windows?did they remove em or just cover right over em?

They were eliminated either by covering or never being cut out? My Mother had one of these with aftermarket rims. Sweet car. She had the red w/ white interior like the one pictured. Car had decent handling characteristics for a full sized car.
Once my buddy and I were working for my Dad and he said , "You know who's car handles really well? Your Mom's Delta."
The quarter panels all had the window opening stamped. If Olds were going to change that, they wouldn't have needed Hurst to do the conversions. While I don't have the details, I suspect that the cars were built on the line like any other, then shipped to Hurst where the glass was replaced with a solid panel (metal? fiberglass?), the interior quarter trim replaced, and the vinyl top and targa band installed.
The RCLs have their quarter windows, covered w fiberglass plug on the outside. Then covered with vinyl to make a blind quarter, and with a stainless tiara band and an extruded vinyl finish moulding added to complete the conversion.
Interior side had a moulded plastic insert covering the quarter window, color matched to the interior.
The wheel treatments Olds offered for RCL didn't do it justice. SSIV Polycasts should have been brought back as part of the RCL package.

I agree. The body color wheel covers in the ad Joe posted are sort of plain. I like the wire rims on the blue one better. SSIVs would have been bad@$$!
I hope you find the pic. If you had them on your 64 Starfire apparently the SSIV center cap cleared the speedo center cap on the front driver's side wheel.
when i sold it i had some tru-spoke wires with 3 bar knockoffs on it,and a set of the N93 covers in the trunk, but i never could find the wheels.i wanted to put those on so bad.
