I was wondering if there is a market for Vista Cruiser parts. I have stumble across 2 very rusted vista cruiser that i can buy for cheap. Both are complete. 1 has a 455 which runs and the other has a 350 that doesn't. I will enjoy input on this as i do not want to buy and i have them for too long. Have to keep the boss happy.

I am seeking power window parts and a whole power lock setup. Cruise control parts, too. Probably other stuff when I get a Vista.

Repro parts are limited, so used is a primary source.

 

I am going to look at them Friday. They are mainly rusty around the glass. I will get a lot of detail photos so i can send pix when needed.

 

Well if the vista roof is rusted out around the glass, that means the glass will come out pretty easy and the bright trim is very salvageable even if it has rust - its actually stainless and should clean up nice. Vista glass that's not cracked is pretty rare. One thing you do want to look at: are these VCs 3 seaters? Not too many were, but to a restorer the 3rd seat would be worth something.

As far as are VC parts worth getting? The VC shares a lot of the same parts you will find on the 72 Cutlass, Cutlass S, Cutlass Supreme, 442, f85... so yes those cars are worth looking at. For the right price you could part them out for some good coin. Heck, the 455/400 would probably go for around 400-500 bucks by themselves as runners. Love to see what kind of pics you can get.

yes they are still avaible. He wants $750 for one and the only parts usable are motor,trans, doors and molding around windows. Everything else is junk. what parts are you looking for?

 

Do either have power locks? I am interested in the whole setup...

 

I think I have a PDL setup in my storage shed.
