Heater cores

I wanted to know if the chevrolet chevelle heater core is the same as Oldsmobile Cutlass? I go to the local auto parts supplier and they can't find the part as it is no longer availible, i told them to look up chevellle and it pops up availible. WTF ...... Also a week earlier i told the same guy i needed front calipers for a Corvette and he ask me who the manufacture was, lol.

I would too, but yes, they are the same. Of course, A/C and non-A/C are different.

The difference between the Chevelle and the Cutlass is the Cutlass has a better engine

I've been told the Grand am and the Alero are different cars, I've also been told the Caprice and Delta 88 aren't the same car either

The Bilstein rear shocks for my '73 Delta are listed for a '73 Impala, but not an Olds. When you search for rear shocks for Olds, Bilstein and their vendors will tell you "Not Available," but, obviously, it's the same shock.

Fronts pop right up for Olds, same number for both the Impala and Delta.

Weird.

The reality is that there are tens of millions of different parts for different autos in these databases. Expect there to be mistakes.
