72 cutlass oem ram air hood

I wanted to know if this hood uses a hood pop up spring

If I'm following your question right, yes the factory hoods still have same spring that pops the hood up when you pull the release lever by the license plate. John

The pop up spring isn't mounted on the hood.....it's a "spring" that looks nothing like a spring and it's held onto the top of the radiator/core support with two bolts.

You probably already knew that since you have an Olds A-body but maybe yours is missing.

Do these hoods use the same hood springs as the Cutlass S hood? Not the pop spring but the actual hood spring. Im pretty sure they use different springs or no spring but wanted to double check
