I have 2 Cutlass Supremes, 1970 & 1972 that I have to get rid of (unfortunately) and was planning on parting them out. I had purchased the '72 several years ago in Arizona in order to save my rotting '70 and had planned on just swapping the parts over but never got around to it and now they both have to go! I would be willing to sell the complete cars as well if someone is interested in a project? Both cars are pretty much complete, plus I have a bunch of other extra parts.

One part I collected and never got around to using is an original w-25 Ram Air hood for a 1970 442. It is still in great condition with only minor rust on the underside and a couple of small stress cracks in the fiberglass on one of the scoops. It still has the mesh screen intact as well as the original hood locks, though the chrome is pretty pitted. It doesn't have any signs of any repairs. I have seen these hoods sell for upwards of $2000 but I am open to offers. I can send photos if anyone is interested. I am located near Metro-Detroit and I can assist with shipping if necessary.

What sort of parts are you interested in from the 72?

 

Does it have bucket seats? if so the small size deluxe seat belts, electric seat and electric seat back release if it has any of those items. An original distributor, and A/C compressor if it came with those.

 

I have a set of bucket seats that came as extra parts with the car, I can check to see if they're electric and I'll check on the belts as well. I know it has the A/C compressor but not sure if its original. You need the distributor for a 350 or are they all the same? Sorry, I've gotten rusty on my Olds knowledge over the years...

What color are the interiors? I need a blue steering wheel and any door panel of the same color that are in good shape. Also need a dome light setup for my 72 supreme. Thanks, Bill

The interior pieces/parts that I have are green and white, no blue....sorry and the steering wheels that I have are pretty rough with a bunch of cracks. I believe the 72 still has the dome light in it, but the car is in storage now and I won't be able to get to it for a few months....the storage place doesn't allow working/wrenching on the cars while they're stored. I can shoot you a message in the spring when I get the cars out and see if you still need the dome light if you haven't found one by then.

As for the 70 and 72 Supremes, I did not sell much from either car and ended up moving the cars out of my garage and into a secure storage, which means I am not able to get to any of the parts from them until late spring. If by some stroke of luck I hit the lottery and have the cash to finish the project as intended, I will definitely post a thread in the major resto area on the site. Thanks to all who have inquired or have purchased parts from me. I will update in the spring when the cars are out of storage.
