We are installing the new headliner in my 72 Cutlass S and are trying to run down where thedome light connects into the main wiring harness. When we took the car completelyapart, we left the domelight wire in the roof where it mounts to the light butcan't run it down to where the wiring plugs into either the ribbon that goes to the rearof the car or to the harness underthe dash (or some other place).

Can someone describe how/where it runs and connects to the ribbon or the mainharness or post a diagram of such from the fisher manual or other reference?

I just went through the same thing.
The dome light wiring runs backwards to the trunk(driver side) & plugs into the rear trunk harness ahead of the trunk hinge and sits on top of the wheel well.
